(From the Toronto Evening News)

"The acrobatic feats performed at Shea's Theater this week by the nine members of the Nelson family are simply marvelous, and it is quite safe to say that no such act has ever before been seen in Toronto.

Much of the work is very daring and requires not only the highest degree of nerve and skill on the part of the performers, but an absolute confidence in each other as well.

Another excellence is the novellty and humor of many of the tricks and the good nature of the little people. This part of the show is really alone worth the price of admission:

In their feat, one of them stands on the floor, a second stands upon the shoulders of the first, and a third mounts to the shoulders of the second.

Then a fourth is hoisted up by a rope and pulley to the shoulders of the third.

For a few seconds, the human column remains intact, then it begisn to fall like a tree; suddenly the four separate like lightning, the lower three look out for themselves and the little one on top falls into the arms of her father!"
